1. Go to www.mtgc.my and click Search for Guides (at top navigation bar). Guides contacts and details are available including e.g. their language competencies.
2. Guiding fees are based on regions, and the fee schedules are available here.
Note: TG fees are DOUBLE for the following national holidays:- New Year Day (01 Jan)- Labour Day (01 May)- Hari Raya Puasa (1st & 2nd days)- Chinese Lunar New Year (1st & 2nd days)- Deepavali (for 1 day)- Christmas (25 Dec)
For peak season only:
Tour agents also have the liberty of using their in-house or panel licensed guides who come under the below categories:
Category 1 - TGs with the RIGHT language competencies (first choice and preferred for the assignment)
Category 2 - TGs who are able to speak the language (e.g. Mandarin) but do not have the language competencies (e.g. Chinese guides with other language competencies e.g. English)- PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ONLY TO OVERCOME PEAK SEASON SHORTAGE.
Category 3 - TGs who are NOT able to speak the language(s) required but can be sit-in guides (e.g. English speaking guides sitting in for the tours) helping the inbound tour leaders.- PLEASE NOTE THAT OTHER THAN DURING PEAK SEASON, A LETTER OF ENDORSEMENT MUST BE ISSUED BY MOTOUR TO USE SIT-IN GUIDES.
